What makes ultrasound different?
A special ultrasound probe is used to focus the energy precisely on the hair follicle.  Ultrasound is then channeled to the hair root where it is converted to heat, which then inhibits the hair growth.

How many treatments will I need?
Hair treated in the anagen phase of growth should not grow back, but hairs not in the anagen phase will need to be retreated.  Unfortunately there is no way of telling which hairs are in the anagen phase or not.  Generally we recommend that most areas need 6-8 treatments.  After this course of treatments, you may periodically require a top up treatment to treat semi dormant hairs which only come in to anagen on an annual basis.

What is the recommended amount of time between treatments?
Typically 4 weeks between treatments is recommended.  This does vary between individuals, body areas, hair characteristics etc.  We will advise you in more detail during your first consultation.

Are the results permanent?
Long-term results are dependent on hormones, genetics and medication, as these may stimulate hair growth.
